When I phoned Thomas Cook a while back, they said you couldn't say fly out on a Tuesday and come back on a Friday, it was Friday to Friday, or Tuesday to Tuesday. Have they now changed this then?

The only flights that i have found from Gatwick to Hurghada are on a Friday(so you have to stay the week) as i have this trouble when i try to book.British Airways used to go on Tuesdays and saturday, but i havn"t found another airline flying other than Fridays.

This was using Travel Republic.

For anyone living in Ireland I have found an alternative to flying via Gatwick.

Dublin to Frankfurt - Lufthansa

Frankfurt to Hurghada - Condor

Condor fly on mondays and thursdays and I have discovered if you go on a thurs the flight leaves at 1405, so on overnight stay. On the way back, if you come back on a Monday, the flight lands at 1705 and there is a flight to dublin at 2125 so once again no overnight stay.

Prices do vary a lot, here are some of the best deals I have found so far:

03 apr - 21 apr for £378 each

24 jul - 04 aug for £440 each

24 jul to 11 aug for £455 each

Hope this helps

British prices are just a tragedy.
Do you think it is possible to buy a one-way ticket
from Egypt to the UK for less than 120 pounds?
Thank you in advance.

06 mar til 10 mar - about £400 each
Here's the breakdown of prices for those dates for one person:

Dublin to frankfurt - £132 return

Frankfurt to hurghada - 379 euro return

So £416 per person return.

Hello everyone.

To tell you the truth, prices you are talking about
are just terrible. I hope my recent 'discoveries'
will help you buy something much cheaper.

The general conclusion is that it IS possible to
buy two tickets to Egypt, to and fro, for less
than 200 British pounds. How is it possible?

easyJet.com - book cheap flights, hotels and car hire online
Thanks for Queenie.
A good connection between Sharm and London,
sometimes at very reasonable prices.

https://www.tuifly.com/en/offers/tiefstpreise.jsp
Here you can find VERY good flights between
Cairo and Germany. Sometimes very cheap.

Thomsonfly.com - The low fares airline. From 20 UK airports to over 80 destinations - Farefinder
Also good offers. Flights between Sharm and
England. Moreover, there is also a possibility to
buy a very cheap ticket from Israel to England.
Some people may prefer to fly from Israel.

Let us hope budget airlines will also get
interested in Egypt.

:)

Anyone who lives in Ireland (North or South) are completely stuck because we have to fly to one of the mainland airports first, try and get the flight times to tie in and then fly on to hurghada. The connecting flight can cost anything up to £100 each!!!!

The prices I quoted might seem expensive to someone who lives near either Manchester or Gatwick but it's not for us, as we can get good connecting flights in the german airports and not spend hours on end in the airport (as we had to last time in gatwick).

Hopefully this will change in the near future but at the moment you can only fly from Dublin to Sharm on a package deal.
