Some good reasons why ‘buy’ or ‘not to buy’ in Tangiers... Courtesy of 'A Place in the Sun'

For Tangiers

  • A range of costal developments are already in construction in and around Tangiers
  • A hydrofoil brings in up to 500 tourists a day from Malaga in Spain, and the car ferry from Tariffa takes only 35 mins.
  • The planned rail tunnel from Punta Palomas in Spain will bring in many more visitors from Europe.
  • Tangiers’ Mayor has a proven track record of overseeing successful regeneration projects in Morocco, having overseen Marrakech’s recent improvements.

Against Tangiers

  • Construction work on the planned rail tunnel to Spain won’t begin until at lease 2008.
  • Improvements to the city, such as moving the freight port, are still very much in their infancy.
  • Although Tangiers airport is just a three hour flight from the UK, there are relatively few flights here compared to other Moroccan airports such as Marrakech and Fez.

Great Topic.
As an investor in property and land in Tangier, Asilah and Tetouan I agree with Tangier and regions are booming areas. The developers are looking for land for projects with any price. If you invest in Land in Tangier, Asilah, Ksar Sghir, Tetouan and do not forget Oued Law and Larache you will get 350% On Return.
Working together in this area is the best thing.
