What do you classify as short, medium and long-term when looking at property price graphs?

    In many of the more developed property markets around the world the long-term uptrend is still in place even if there have been a number of short-term blips/consolidations in recent times. When looking at property price charts what do you deem as short, medium and long term? Do you still focus on the long-term trend or are you more concerned about short-term developments?
