to the above .. its not about the local my friend ..
mainly uae is a muslim territory and for them God is everything so thats the only reason why the local whoever he/she was did that .. so no other person can do it ever again .. jokes are allowed in every community but what he did was an offense to the muslims specially for the locals as they are the ones controlling this territory ..!

Good thing they have fired him. Thank (allah) GOD my country uae is making these people an example for the rest expats.. BTW passi0nate.... GOD is everything in all religion and in all countries around the world. You are speaking on your very narrow point of view.
