I am in a smallish town in Oregon, USA. My agent has informed me that 89 properties sold yesterday. Yes, that is in one day. At the height of the real estate boom, it was rare for over 200 properties to sell in a month.

I know that there are now bidding wars over properties in Las Vegas.

Real estate is local. Some of the big industrial towns are still in trouble, but some areas of the USA seem to be thinking about recovering. So heads up for those of you who have their eye on a specific area of the USA and have been waiting. The big real estate sale may be over soon.

Yes but the costs of upkeep for US properties are pretty high, with all kinds of very high taxes etc.

I would look at europe as you will see the same kind of boom however, less of a boom bust culture
