Hi all,
Want to sell the flat I have, and having previously researched and understood the buying process I cannot find any information to help prospective sellers of property.

Got a few questions and was hoping for some advice.

What is better, estate agent or internet for selling? Also, if you sell via an estate agent, how much will they charge? and will I need to pay a percentage of that before the sale?

Do I need to notify the mortgage company before I put it up for sale, or only involve them once I have an offer?

Basically don?t know where to start!?!?

Please help!
Thanks
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,
As others have said, do not accept lengthy tie-ins. It is better if you can get an EA on a 'no sale, no fee' basis. In fact I thought that most of them operated that way these days. Get at least three separate quotes. Try to reach out the more established EA's in your area. Get a couple of them interested. I managed to get mine to agree a fee of 1%, with no tie ins, and on a no sale, no fee basis
Thank you
Bennett
