Offshore Share Ownership/Syndicate/Fund

I am looking to set up an offshore company to invest in distressed deals worldwide. This will either be a syndicate structure or unregulated fund structure or share ownership structure. Has anyone had any experience with these types of structures???... the big question here is how to finance properties (bank recourse).
