Has Remain won the day in the UK EU referendum?

While nothing has been confirmed yet, early indications suggest that the Remain campaign has won the day in the UK EU referendum. What kind of impact would this have, assuming the indications are correct, on the UK property market in the short to medium term? Would those who have sat on the sidelines for some months now immediately return to the market and push prices higher?

If the Remain campaign has won the UK EU referendum this is certainly good news in the longer term for UK property assets. With rumours that Turkey is very soon to join the European Union membership queue this would add around 70 million new people to the European Union population.

It has just been announced that the Leave campaign has been victorious in the UK EU referendum. Is the political ground changing within the UK and Europe?

How did the financial markets get it so wrong? There was talk of hedge fund management exit polls which seemed to gave the markets early hope but this very quickly evaporated.
