Hi! I'm buying a student HMO property and the process is about to reach the end, I just called up my solicitor for an update and he told me that he's concerned as the vendor doesn't put his tenants' deposit in a deposit scheme. He said that he need time to go though the documents and get back to me at the end of the week. Should I still go ahead on the purchase? Is it possible to negotiate a deduction of deposits from the purchase price to sort this problem?
