The fact is that each and every investment opinion helps to make a market, positive and negative stances ensure an ongoing liquidity but is it time to buy when all the experts are saying sell?
Time and time again we have seen experts move on mass to buy particular markets and sell particular real estate markets. Many people believe that when ALL experts are saying sell then this is the precursor to the final stage of the downward cycle, alternatively, the same is relevant when ALL experts suggest buying a particular market, we may be approaching the top.
Human nature dictates that not all investment experts will be of the same opinion at the same time, there will be some who join a particular band of buyers and sellers at a relatively early stage and they may call the market right. Slowly but surely those with a different opinion, assuming the trend continues, will be forced to re-evaluate their position and eventually the vast majority of experts will hold very similar opinions – often due to peer pressure. When the final group of experts breaks and moves into the "mass camp" this is very often the darkest hour before the dawn.
So, does the perfect buying or selling signal occur when ALL real estate experts are singing from the same hymn sheet?
