Derelict property

Hi ,I am new to all this. What would be the status of a derelict property that has been empty for 10 years .(built of corrigated iron),wood and bricks .
It does have electric and water .

I'm not sure what you mean by the status? Are you looking to compulsory purchase the property? I presume there must be a way to trace the existing owner via land registry records?
