Very good.Thorough,though a tad expensive.Wolfgang
Any feedback on Manzanares's service?
Manzanares is an International lawyer firm. Here in Natal they are Spanish lawyers and subcontract the work to a Brasilian lawyer, and then report to the client. So in effect you will be paying twice, and therefore will be paying a higher price than if you use the brasilian lawyer direct. The Brasilian lawyer also speaks English.Very good.Thorough, though a tad expensive.
Hi wolfgang- shame you could not be at our convention!! I too look forward to seeing you again. BTW- think I can offer 70% loans on a 5 year deal. Need to tidy up the bits, but am seeing the bank again this week to make sure it will work Ok.Hi Mike,
Which Brazilian lawyer are you referring to?
I managed to find the right road to the new bridge back to Natal btw after our meeting and look forward to hooking up with you again when i next visit N.E.Brazil.
Very true, I have spoken to a few law firms both in Brazil and so called experts from europe who know nothing about tax implications of BRAZIL never mind the implications of the country of the investor!Hi all,
I see posts about various positives & negatives of property law firms (some local firms not knowing tax implications at the home country of the investor, fee differential between various firms etc. etc...)
I guess the place of origin of the legal firm is key to many aspects discussed here...
My observation is that most of the law firms recommended by property agents are based in Europe. Some have offices on Brazil and some just specialize in Brazilian property laws, but have not set up shop in Brazil.
And then there are these "local" law firms of Brazilian origin...
The latter category of 'local' firms would be naturally cheaper compared to the 'multinational' property specialist image of the former.
Gee
My contact is Jennifer Saxon [email protected].
Her English is excellent. She will not know me by the name of Wolfgang though it does demonstrate i have no vested interest in making this referral.
They were not the cheapest quote ,though by no means the most expensive either.
It is a false economy to skimp on legal fees ,especially within the context of real estate acquisition in Brazil as anyone who has conducted even a modicom of due dilligence will be only too aware!
Hello all, I have just bought and was "recommended" the services of Legalex Group (her name is Carmela Calday) at a cost of 1.5%. they also said that if I let them do my Moroccan property fees then they will do them for 1% (0.5 discount). The company who recommended her are the ones who I reserved through who are Invest In Brazil. Not sure if they have any links.
