Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum fame sells Nashville mansion

It would appear that Charles and Cassie Kelley have negotiated the off market sale of their Nashville mansion for $2.91 million. While this was below the asking price of $3.2 million it is still a good return on their $1.6 million investment back in 2012. The celebrity couple has extremely successful business lives and it seems as though this is extending into their real estate world. The details of the property have seemingly leaked out into the public domain and it looks to be an impressive home!

Charles Kelley’s $2.91 million mansion

In summary the property, a white brick Georgian building, was constructed back in 1942 and stands on 1.56 acres of prime land. The mansion is located in the affluent Belle Meade area and with 6682 ft.² of living space, four bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a pool house it is certainly not a small home!

The property looks and feels like some kind of stately residence with a well-constructed semicircular drive leading to the entrance. The first thing you will see on entering the property is the double height centre hall foyer with dark stained hardwood floors leading down to the living room. It is well documented that this area of the house has undergone extensive refurbishment and is in effect a banquet sized dining room with an enormous eye-catching wooden table. Guests can relax on the tufted white sofas and the gilt trim cabriolet chairs while they wait to be called to the table.

The heart of the property

There is an enormous “great room” which runs down the rear of the property incorporating a family room, dining area, white and stainless steel kitchen not to mention the step down to a bank of French doors which open up onto the rear of the property. The kitchen is an extremely trendy affair with slab marble countertops, eye-catching tile back splashes and an array of shimmering mirror tiles. The kitchen has all of the mod cons you would expect in a high spec property and more than enough space to accommodate help in the kitchen.

The second floor of the property is accessible by both stairs and elevator and is home to 3 guest family bedrooms plus a master suite which opens out onto a Juliet balcony. You will also find what is described as a “boutique style” dressing room and two extremely well decorated bathrooms with a 2 people soaking tub, side-by-side sauna and steam shower. What else would you expect from Charles Kelley?

The gardens

The rear of the property opens out onto a large lawn which is home to not only a swimming pool but also a relatively large pool house. Within this pool house you will find a spacious living area, kitchenette, bathroom and an integrated sound system. The garden area also has its own small putting green amidst the trees and shrubs, secluded dining terrace and a detached three car garage. A stately home with stately gardens what more could you ask for?

It was a slight surprise that the property was sold under the asking price but then again cash is king in these markets with some investors deciding to sit on the sidelines as the interest rate cycle turns. However, Charles Kelley did still bank a nice profit.
