The award-winning actress/author has put her Sierra Towers condo in West Hollywood, California up for sale with an asking price of $4.495 million. The lady herself has a number of properties dotted across the globe but at this moment in time she is focused on selling her condo.

The apartment covers a staggering 2260 ft.² and was bought back in 2007 for a price of $2.7 million. So, if she was to achieve the asking price she would bank a profit of near $1.8 million. However, real estate aficionados will be well aware the property was up for sale in 2015 with an asking price of $4.995 million. As you can guess, the property failed to sell and was taken off the market for nearly 2 years.
For a lady who made prime soap series “Dynasty” her own, you will not be surprised to learn that this property has Joan Collins stamped all over it with two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The property is situated just between West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and boasts neighbours such as Courtney Cox, Kelly Osbourne, Adam Sandler and Mary Hart and Bert Sugarman. It is also believed that Sandra Bullock acquired an apartment back in 2014 for an asking price of $3.55 million. So, this shows the increase in value of these apartments and the celebrity neighbourhood!
Is the condo due for an overhaul?
Some observers have rather harshly suggested that a buyer would “gut the place and start all over again”. While there is no doubt that Joan Collins has placed her own stamp on this, and it may have last been decorated many years ago, it is striking if nothing else. The banker’s style green marble floor tiles in the living area and dining room may not be to everybody’s taste, the black zigzagging granite countertops in the kitchen may have you reaching for a kitchen catalogue and the second bedroom seems to have been turned into a library!
On a positive note, the apartment has glass sliders which open out onto the balcony which can be accessed via the living room and the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a built-in entertainment system, additional storage, ensuite bathroom and a couple of walk-in closets no doubt for the lady herself!
Looking to the future
Joking aside, this is still an exquisite apartment in one of the more sought-after areas of Hollywood/Beverly Hills. The asking price has been reduced by nearly $500,000 since 2015 and it will be interesting to see whether there is any interest. It has some breathtaking views and while some may suggest it needs refurbished others may suggest there is an opportunity for the next owner to put their own stamp on the property.
