Support the BuildAid Winter Ball 2019

On Wednesday, 4 December 2019, the inaugural BuildAid Winter Ball will be held at the prestigious Nash Room, 116 Pall Mall, London. The black tie/dress event includes a drinks reception, 3-course dinner, live auction and dancing. Individual tickets are available for a £170 donation with a table of 10 discounted to £1,500. BuildAid are hoping to raise £50,000 to fund the construction of safe and sustainable buildings for vulnerable people around the world.

BuildAid projects

Originally set up in 2005 to assist in the aftermath of the South East Asian Tsunami the concept has grown and the assistance offered expanded dramatically. Since inception BuildAid have completed projects in Sri Lanka, Haiti, Nepal, Kenya and the Philippines. Helping to rebuild the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, BuildAid has been central to installing solar powered water pumps, rebuilding schools and general hospitals and bringing a degree of normality back to the lives of those caught up in many natural disasters.

Future funding

Funds raised at the Winter Ball event will go towards an array of construction projects in the Philippines, Kenya and Malawi. This is your opportunity to help provide:-

• Shelter for young girls rescued from online sexual exploitation in the Philippines
• A medical clinic in rural Kenya providing maternity services, immunisation and the treatment of HIV/AIDS
• Education for communities to improve nutrition, increase standards of sanitation and prevent disease
• Classrooms and dormitories for children in isolated areas of rural Kenya
• A child oncology unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Malawi, providing vital inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment

The key to the success of BuildAid is an ability to offer assistance now, when it is most needed, but also investing in projects and people for the future. Funds raised at the forthcoming Winter Ball will make a huge difference to the lives of children and adults today, as well as future generations.
