Prospering through adversity

Property Summits was a huge success when launched in February 2020 hence demand for the April 2020 follow-up. Between them, the panel of five experts have in excess of 100 years of experience in the property market. While it is safe to say that nobody alive today has seen anything quite like the coronavirus pandemic, there are still strategies and actions you can take to protect your finances and assets. We saw certain elements of the property/financial markets adapting to the lockdown, with many boasting business as usual, and when we come out of the lockdown it will be full steam ahead. Don’t be slow off the blocks!

Spotting opportunities for the future

Interestingly, with the vast majority of successful property investors utilising a long-term investment strategy, the five experts on the panel each gave their opinion on prospects for the future. Yes, we appreciate that many property investors are focused on the short-term and “getting through the crisis” but it is also helpful to look to the future. Over the coming weeks there will be numerous investment opportunities emerging and it is possible to prosper through the adversity of recent times. The subject of diversification is extremely important; financial strength is critical to long-term success and so is making the right decisions at the right time.

Remain clear and focused

The key to exiting the coronavirus crisis with your investments intact is to remain clear and focused at all times. Even though there are numerous challenges, many different things to think of and some issues out of your control, focus and clarity are vital. Learn ways to minimise your short-term loan repayments, protect rental income and start to plan for the future. Property investment can be an educational rollercoaster and in all honesty we never stop learning.
