Personally I think initial confusion in the event of the UK exiting the European Union does have the potential to push interest rates higher in the short term. The medium to long term situation would be very different and take a lot of negotiating with potential trading partners but lets not forget, import figures show that the European Union needs the UK more than the UK needs the European Union.
