What's happened to the rental market

We have been lucky in that we have rented out our apartment in Peyia for the last 2 years since we completed on it. Our tenant is now moving out as she wants a house but we are really struggling to find someone else, the market just seems to be dead. Is anyone else finding this as well or is it just us? Prices also seem to have fallen significantly

There are so many rentals on the market these days that if you want to find a tenant you need to price your property as low as you can.
This time of year seems to be the time for new tenants for long term rentals.
We don't specialise in rentals concentrating mostly on sales but we have had a lot of rentals enquiries this past month so it proves that the rental market is not dead.

If you are looking for a rental purchase in Cyprus it is essential to remember that there are many pockets of over development. If a builder tells you "this is a great rental property" E-mail or talk to independent rental agents in the area and see what similar price, size, location properties are renting out for. This is a good way to find out accurate facts!
