What was the biggest property investment mistake you made in your early days?

Those who suggest they have never made a mistake in their property investment career have either just started or they are perhaps being a little selective with their memory. In reality, we can read the books, we can scan the websites but it is only when a mistake hits you in the pocket that you do something about it. In the early days I was sometimes too keen to acquire properties which looked "too good to be true" only to find out there was a reason behind the perceived value for money. A lesson learned!

I too have been bitten by those property investments that are "too good to be true" and were! However, as long as I am learning from my mistakes I am not overly concerned. One thing though, just when you think you have cracked property market investment it will come back to bite you on the backside with a shock/surprise. Never stop learning my friends
