While some trends do repeat themselves history is an indicator of what may or may not happen not what will happen. It is very dangerous to put all of your eggs in one basket and bank on history repeating itself especially in the current environment which nobody alive has ever experienced. We may look back on the last decade as something of an education in economics, investment and worldwide cooperation.
