Hear what Property Forum's CEO @Nicholas Wallwork has to say about yesterday's announcement from UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

This is a critical opportunity for property investors and developers! On 30th June 2020 the UK Prime Minister announced he is tearing up the rule book on planning rules to help kick start the economy, which has created an exciting opportunity for property developers. The PM has promised the "most radical reforms" of planning since the Second World War. Included in the proposed changes, is the relaxation of 'change of use' to include a wider range of commercial buildings that will be allowed to change to residential use, without the need for a planning application.

This is the best news property developers have had in quite some time! If you would like expert help and support taking advantage of this unique situation while it's available, but are not sure how to maximise the opportunity (or would like to take this moment to 'step up' the size of your next development project),Nicholas offers 1-2-1 mentorship will fast-track your success in this specific area. His expertise lies in 'change of use' property development across the South East, and you can book a FREE mentorship 'taster' call so you can understand exactly how he can add value (and profit) to your project. Are there any specific areas of the market that investors should be targeting at the moment? One which obviously springs to mind is retail shops which are closing at an alarming rate.

I would guess that the properties which could potentially take advantage of this new development are more inner-city? While I don't believe the current trend of looking at properties outside of cities, where there is more space and less chance of infection from the coronavirus, will last, are inner-city properties as desirable at the moment as they have been in years gone by?

If there is a general lack of interest then maybe now is the time to buy and take advantage when the trend turns back to "normal"?

Hi Nick, do you expect this move to prompt a revolution on the high street with empty shops converted into residential properties?
