I think it's to do with education, education, education. When you consider the issues of schooling then you can see why location can be top of the agenda for many families.

Parents are prepared to pay a premium to live near a good school. That's the bottom line. Also, amenities, travel links etc all add to the quality of life. So yes, I agree that this factor will always be of prime importance.
