I am looking for a real estate agent to help me with the sale of my house. An agent with international connections would be best suited. Please send a PM for details.

When you are aiming at the overseas market my preference would be Remax, C21, Sotheby's, Christie's - in that order. They're all Franchisees.
The latter 2 are mainly dealing with the more expensive properties.
Read the small print very carefully and don't commit yourself for more than 3 months when it is an exclusive.
Agents usually work purely on commission, and tend to pocket only 50% of the commission agreed between the seller and the Franchisee.
Therefore an extra 1% or 2% on top of the agreed commission, paid directly to the individually selling agent (and not to their boss) may help. After all, a 1% bonus works out as a 40% on what she would normally collect.

You'll have to do without Sotheby's. Fights happen even in the best Franchise Families:
Fim da operação da Sotheby

Better Homes, Corcoran Group, ERA Real Estate, Sotheby's International Realty, Coldwell Banker and Century21 all belong to the same holding company, offering almost 14.000 offices world-wide.
You'd assume that at least ONE of their 240.000 estate agents would be able to sell your house.

With only about 125 affiliated offices worldwide, Christie's International is part of the Auction house. They are by far the most luxurious franchise, and sold the world's highest priced residential property in the West Indies, for USD 90 million.
They have a franchise in a.o. Rio.

You may have to make a separate agreement with them in order to get your house listed worldwide. They usually make nice brochures which you may want to distribute yourself when travelling.
Remember, depending on the contract, you may have to pay your agent the agreed commission even when you yourself found the buyer!

Good luck!

I have contacted Remax and Century 21, the rest doesn't seem to operate in Brazil. Now let's see if they will get back to me.

Coldwell and Christie's do operate here but they are to high end.

When you think your house is 'high end' then invite the directors of both agencies. They should be able to give you an estimate on what a house could probably do, and pick the one you feel most comfortable with. Or both. Competition is healthy.

Both Century and Remax have already contacted me, scary, I'm not used to such efficiency here in Brazil. :)
