Question on Selling High End Land?

Hello all,

I have a question...

Someone has just asked me the best way to market (online or offline) a piece of high-end land (i.e. on the sea and big plot of land) in Cyprus. He is looking to sell it for as much as possible, so probably wouldn't go to a developer, so is looking for a very wealthy individual - any ideas what the best way to reach this sort of person is? Have you ever had anything similar?

Many thanks in advance for any help,

Misch

This rather begs the question of why you were asked for advice. The vendor could have posed the question on here himself. Of course he's looking "to sell for as much as possible" !.
Who isn't ?.

As for developers, at present they are not interested; in the North it's all come to a halt after the Oram's case, & in the south no-one is buying.

To answer the original question, obviously you need to identify the target market and promote it in publications, on web sites & with agents who deal with wealthy individuals.

Yes, as I said he will not be selling to developer. He also is not looking to use an agent. I think the idea is to go down the Online Marketing route or in publications, but to reach the target audience (which is the very wealthy) for a one off sell of land, Online Marketing via SEO isn't really an option...perhaps I was wondering if anyone knew of a good website that specialises in selling this sort of land or a good publication etc.

The Sunday Times property section is aimed at the well-heeled.

Can I ask why he doesnt want to use a dedicated land agent, who may already have buyers on the books looking for high end land?

I think it could well be down to making as much money as possible! He hasn't told me too much about it, but he probably paid a lot for it and is trying to cut as much costs as possible - to be honest I don't know too much about it!

As they appear to have over 1,000 properties on their books, one more won't make much difference !.
