Those who hang on for longer in order to obtain their target price can be playing a very dangerous game. If you're asking price is out of line with the market price it may prove difficult to sell your property.

Personally I think many people are living in the past and chasing selling prices which are not necessarily available today. Holding on for an extra few thousand pounds in the current environment is surely high-risk?

Hi @Rob Gillis I would be interested hear your opinion on why it seems to be taking longer to sell properties in the UK. Personally I think people are living in the past and using historic prices as their current benchmark.
