Owners Association

Hi,

I'm curious to find out more about how Owners Associations operate here in Dubai?As I understand, most Developers are finally handing the day to day operations over to these Associations as they no longer wish to manage so many units. Aren't there OAM providers who usually manage a large portfolio of associations under them? How do they possibly look after several thousand units? Is there a management software or application in place?

OAM's are in full force and you will find with a bit of digging that they are "owned" by the developer, i.e. the developer has set up this OAM, on the face it appears to be an independent company but it is not.
They will provide skeleton staff onsite to deal with everyday queries and the service may not always be the best.
