At a time when the UK property market is struggling to accommodate demand it seems rather bizarre that the government is penalising buy to let investors by exempting residential property from the new capital gains tax rules. History shows that the government is not willing to invest the funds required to replenish the U.K.’s housing stock so where else will it come from?
