Their website is still up and running, but there is no response from them. Friends checked gtheir advertised offices, and they have disappeared. So much for Trust .....
Does anyone know lawyers, specialized in real estate, who speak English and are independent?
Norbert, I will PM some details.

Conde, Jacuma and Real Estate

I have lived in Jacuma/Carapibus for 5+ years now and know the situation pretty well on most counts. Anyone can PM me and I'll be glad to share my experiences.

There are two law firms that regularly attend Gringo gatherings in JP offering to help folks out, including Real Estate:

Peixoto Advocacia I have met Paulo and he appears to be a good guy, have not used his services. He did say price is negotiable from what is posted on his site.

The others are: Mouzalas, Borba & Azevedo | Advogados Associados | João Pessoa | Paraíba

Good hunting, PD

PS: Debzor, I look forward to meeting you in person one day soon.

Realtors

We know Steve and Patricia very well, have bought off them also with no problems, they also know Conde very very well, and have some small granja/farm/country properties for sale there. You will be in good hands!
Is it correct that Atlantic Trust, the company you so rated so very highly, has disappeared from the earth and that your own companies have taken over their portfolio?

Jack and Mandy are now residing and working in Hawaii and they actually closed down over a year ago.

Unfortunately it is difficult to find a great Realtor around here, lots of talk/promises etc. I had a property on with one of the aforementioned agents for about 8 months and I didn't receive a single call from them during that time, not even a "hello".

There is a new agent who has just opened up in Jacuma if you are looking to buy in the Carapibus, Tabantinga or Praia Bela area. They have lived many years in the USA and I believe will provide a far better service, if you want details let me know (I have their card here somewhere).

Hi Norbert, as decent folks we rate all companies as we personally find them, at our time of doing business with many companies in JP we were overall, satisfied with the level of service we got... and said as such on this forum. Of course as time goes on things change, people change etc, and Atlantic Trust have closed down, in fact we were their last customer. To my best knowledge, Brazil Overseas Property are still trading and doing very well.... good for them, they work hard at it.

Our property resale association is called View beachside property in NE Brazil under £50,000 here! and you can read our rationale for starting up this operation on our webpages. To my knowledge we have not taken over the portfolio of the now defunct Atlantic Trust, and Growler as always, eloquently confirms this.

It seems from the tone of your post that you may have a problem with Atlantic Trust... is it worth sharing with this forum? Look forward to hearing from you, and hope you are somewhere warm!!

We never had had a problems with them other than that they do not respond to queries. When they have closed down, then I guess that is an excuse. But why on earth do they keep their website activated?

Hi Norbert, I tend to agree with you, but I thought all their enquiries were redirected to Paraiba Paradise. Perhaps they intend coming back??? aaaggghhhhhh! Really glad you avoided any problems with them. Cheers for now!
