While there is no doubt there are opportunities in the worldwide real estate market, the situation in the Ukraine and other areas of the world perfectly illustrate the ongoing difficulties. Just when we think there is light at the end of the tunnel a juggernaut comes into view heading straight towards us!

There are some real estate investors who are now beginning to wonder whether it is time to take a profit on their London investments, their Dubai exposure and other areas of the world which have done relatively well. The fact is that you should see any real estate investment as a long-term investment and where possible, assuming your financial situation allows so, ignore the short-term peaks and troughs. However, if you believe there has been a fundamental change in the worldwide real estate market which has had, or will have, an impact upon your particular real estate investments then it may be time to think again.

In a worst-case scenario, there is more political upheaval around the world, the risk reward factor changes and you are sitting on the sidelines with cash in your pocket. However, if you do decide to liquidate your assets, would you be brave enough to call the right time to go back in?
