As various sides continue to argue about the number of new builds in the UK, and lack of investment by the government, is it time to look at investing in a land? While there are obvious differences between investing in land and investing in built properties there are a number of factors to take into

As margins get thinner towards the end of the property investment process, i.e. buying and selling finished properties, looking at direct investment in land will become more attractive. Who on the forum has invested in land before?

With the right investment strategies this would seem an interesting option in the longer term. We can continue to knock down old buildings and build new homes in their place but there is a limited supply of land. Therefore, surely the long-term value of land with potential for planning permission should rise?
