Is It Practical To Have BTL House In UK And Live Abroad?

Hello to all, this is my first post and I'm after a bit of advice. I'm emigrating to Czech Republic late this year. I have approx £200K to invest in a 2 or 3 bed house in Bristol to give me an extra income. I will only visit The UK two or three times per year for a week or two each visit.

Would it be practical for me to live abroad and have an agent managed BTL in The UK? What are the potential problems? What percentage would an agent charge to fully manage a house?

In theory it is possible but personally I would prefer to have somebody manage the property rather than just visit it 2 or 3 times a year. Do you have family or close friends who could keep an eye on the property for you? I have seen some figures which suggest full property management rates of between 10% and 20% of monthly rent. That would certainly eat into your cash flow!
