The town of Berkovitsa is located in the skirts of The Balkan Mountains. It is the biggest mountain in Bulgaria. The area is famous for its eco paths and huts in the mountain, mineral water, ski. Kom peak (2016 m)- 20 kilometers from Berkovitsa is a starting point for the marked tourist route along the whole ridge of the Balkan up to Cape Emine on the Black Sea coast.
