More interesting reads

Following on...

These caught my eye as they show the government thinking on the property market.

1st - Property slowdown 'exaggerated' - UAE bank governor - Politics & Economics - ArabianBusiness.com

Then..
Transport, healthcare key to Dubai's future - Politics & Economics - ArabianBusiness.com

Not much mention of the property market in there or tourism either for that matter, what about Dubai land and all ???..
They are readying to wash their hands of all the pending problems and the investors will be left to fight it out in the courts with the rouge developers (if they can find them)... making more money for the lawyers, who have to be registered in Dubai to practice.

You have to admire the business model here... sell useless sand for millions on the promise of ever expanding population, then when the going gets tough... wash your hands of it all and move off in another direction, brilliant.!!

Dubai property scandal claim emerges amid media blackout - Middle East, World - The Independent

"And of course, all local media gagged.."

The story behind that news clip has been running since original 2004 launch of the projects, original Nakheel investors are still seeking return of investments and Shahram Abdulah Zadeh the Iranian ex-CEO of Al Fajer Properties is seeking $1.9 billion for the theft of his company... not sure if he is still in the jail after his incarceration for a year without trial.
