I live in Travis County, Texas and I'm interested in purchasing a piece of property that is currently owned by a collection agency. The former owner died and still owed money to the mortgage company. The mortgage company has since sold the debt and subsequent agencies continue to sell the debt. The property owner had himself buried on the land and the collection agency wants the family to move the remains. The family doesn't want to do that so they are being sued. I don't mind having the grave on the property. The family has no financial interest in the property. But no one knows how I can make an offer to aquire this piece of land with a house that is falling down.
