Guaranteed and Assured income, what is the difference?

This is something I am interested in as well. I think guaranteed is a rock solid guarantee while assured is a looser non-leally binding term. Is that about right?

I think assured is a less certain legal term than guaranteed :)

I believe the word 'guaranteed' isn't allowed to be used (in terms of property income marketing) by any investment companies. I think that's why there has been a rise in other terms being used.
