We had an offer on a marionette accepted, it was advertised as freehold. Then we receive an email from the estate agent saying it was actually now going to be sold share of freehold so we paid our initial solicitor fees of £375 as this was even better than a freehold. Then 4 days later we receive another email from the estate agents telling us the seller has changed his mind again and is now selling it as a leasehold which we definitely don’t want.
Can we claim our £375 back from being misinformed by the seller and estate agents or have we lost our money?
