I am a first time buyer. End of this month we are due to complete the transcation and completion. I am living in rented accommodation. My tennancy agreement is ending in July. Is it possible to delay the first mortgage payment till July. Because I am having some difficulty with my agency to move out from the rented accomodation. I very much appreciated any advice about this. Thank you

Once you complete on your mortgage you will have to pay the monthly mortgage payment regardless. You can though ask your Conveyancing Solicitor to delay as much as you want. The person selling the property and the estate agent will get annoyed eventually.

I advise you to take advantage of the right to a credit vacation.

Credit holidays are a grace period when the borrower cannot make payments or reduce payments without penalties and other sanctions from the bank. Holidays do not worsen the credit history, but they are reflected. Deferral is allowed once for each of the loan agreements — it can be obtained now, including those borrowers who took credit holidays during the pandemic. However, if you doubt that you want to apply for a credit vacation, contact Mortgage Advisor London. Mortgage specialists will help you analyze the available alternatives and make a decision.
