Everything But The House (EBTH) is a revolutionary online personal property and estate sale service provider based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. EBTH has experienced strong growth since 2006 and is currently undergoing rapid expansion.

We are seeking a Regional Operations Manager who will manage, and drive, our operational growth across the Midwest, overseeing the day-to-day activities of our organization’s business in the region. EBTH is a vibrant, game-changing company and we’re looking for an all-out team player that can thrive in a startup culture and revolutionize the way personal property is bought and sold.

The Regional Operations Manager is a brand new position for our company and, as such, you will have the exciting opportunity of leading from the ground floor. As a young company, we move fast and take risks – and while this will be a very demanding position, you’ll be surrounded by a passionate team of individuals that are dedicated to the common goal of drastically changing the way that personal property is sold, bought, and moved across the country and across the world – and we have a lot of fun while we’re doing it!


We’re looking for an experienced operations manager with a proven track record of successfully managing, and scaling, growing enterprises. This role demands a strong background in operations, process improvement, analytical thinking, and team development. This is an intense business-side startup role; this person will work directly with our Chief Operations Officer to manage operations in Columbus, OH, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY, Indianapolis, IN, and Nashville, TN as well as new locations; working largely on the daily functions that are at the core of EBTH.

Oversee the operations of all EBTH locations in your region (Columbus, OH, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY, Indianapolis, IN, and Nashville, TN as well as locations TBD).
Travel frequently from EBTH location to EBTH location, meeting regularly with the General Managers and their teams.
Have direct responsibility for revenue, profitability, and achieving goals in your region.
Develop a stellar service model focusing on customer service and continual improvement.
Lead and direct General Managers in your region, providing strategic and operational planning input.
Become the king of performance metrics within EBTH.
Manage and oversee the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees in your region; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; and providing leadership to employees on a daily basis.
Manage and regularly report on the budgets and profitability of the locations in your region.
Oversee the launch of any new EBTH locations in your region.
Help grow EBTH nationally by developing and sharing expertise, experience, and best practices.
Have a blast working alongside a vibrant crew of EBTH-ers who like to work hard / play hard!
Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations / management.
Bachelor’s degree.
Documented and successful experience in managing and scaling business units.
A personality that is goal-focused, self-motivated, and flexible.
A team player.
Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
Ability to balance attention-to-detail with quick execution. We need to act quickly, and we need to do things well. Balancing those can be challenging and this should be a strength of yours.
Excellent writing skills and serious attention-to-detail.
Networked and connected to other industry professionals.
Technical expertise.
