Hi I have read that when some seller delays the delivery of the property, the compensation rents are calculated on 1% of the property's price per month of delay. Just ,e.g., you bought a property for $ 100,000, they delayed the delivery for 10 month, so they must pay you $10,000 as compensation. Another point, you can claim in the Court for termination of the purchase and sale contract, and get your investment back, plus interests, damages and so on. Therefore, sue them for termination of the contract and so on could be more profitable than resell your property. Maybe this lawsuit could force them to achieve a better settlement. By the way, I advise to do not sign any agreement before to consult an independent and neutral lawyer, as suggested by Norbert.
