Electing property management company

We have an apartment and the Management plan states that there should be 2 meetings a year the AGM in September or October and budget update meeting in May. Owners are supposed to decide together how much maintenance/ property management fees they want to pay. The problem is that the committee had a meeting on their own in October 2011 and did not invite anyone, they also elected a new property management company without involving any other owners. Is there anything I can do about this?

The new property management company claim this is legal, this shows what kind of company they are.
