Easyjet announced last week that they were beginning flights to Sofia for £27.99.

It seems to me that this will have a positive effect on prices, with the low cost carriers going in. I expect prices to increase rapidly due to this one little announcement.

Any comments anyone?

Not only that but also :

>>Unemployment in Bulgaria fell to 7,25% of the labour force in July, down by 0,17% compared to the previous month and 1,71% lower than at the end of July 2006.Foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bulgaria in the first six months of the year grew by 4,8%, compared to the same period of 2006, to EUR 2,11 B, data of the Bulgarian National Bank shows..

>> Piraeus Bank yesterday lowered their standard variable rate to be the lowest rate foreign mortgage available! Their new rate is 2.5% above Euro base, making a very low 6.5% per annum!

All is looking good for Bulgaria !

Agreed, I believe this will have very positive effects for property.

The new Easyjet route will be from Gatwick to Sofia three times a week.

A year ago, mortgage application to draw down was over seven and a half months on average. Now, this can be done in less than 8 weeks - or even less if you have good bank contacts!

Signs are vvery positive :)
