Does double glazing make a real difference to your energy bills?

Over the years the benefits of double glazing have been spoken about in the real estate circles with a suggestion that there are significant savings to be made in the longer term. In your experience, do the potential energy bill savings make double glazing as good value for money today as it seems to have been in years gone by?

I would guess that double glazing is even more valuable today when you bear in mind the ever rising cost of energy bills?

We live on a Main Busy road and have had Double Glazed Windows and front door and it has made a massive difference. Our Gas and Electric bills have dropped dramatically
