There has always been a very strong relationship between Australia and China both on a corporate level and investment level. The strength of Australia was perfectly demonstrated in light of the 2008/9 worldwide economic downturn. Australia was one of very few countries not to taste recession and the property market has generally gone from strength to strength. I would hazard a guess to suggest it is not just Chinese investors who are keen on Australian property.
