Can I avoid paying tax on my overseas apartment?

I own an apartment overseas which I bought in 2008 and used to live in it. I moved back to the UK in 2020 and wondering if there is a way to avoid paying tax on it or at least reducing the tax. It is rented out which just about covers the mortgage and I don't make a profit. However I don't think I can deduct mortgage payments any more as an expense. If anyone has any ideas I would be very grateful because I may have to sell.
