Figures released today show that after a challenging seven-month period it seems that buyers are now returning to the UK property market. Estate agent will be relieved to see this turnaround in recent fortunes with a balance of 8% more estate agents reporting an increase in enquiry levels during September. This compares to a balance

What will the anti-Brexit crowd make of this one? In reality there has been pent up demand for UK property for many years and it is likely that many investors will buy on weakness.

I think that the knowledgeable property investors in the UK were just sitting on the sidelines waiting for the doom and gloom surrounding Brexit to drag prices down in the short term. It is always darkest before the dawn and the UK is certainly attracting more than its fair share of criticism although whether we are on the verge of dawn breaking is a whole different argument.

I find it ironic that the pollsters got both the Brexit vote on the US presidential election so wrong. Then the so-called experts suggested the UK property market would collapse after the Brexit vote, wrong again! So, why should we believe those who are suggesting Donald Trump is the worst thing to happen to the US economy in living memory?
