Interesting concept. Natural, cheap material and obviously good for the environment and economical.

But, I can't imagine there will be a flurry of lenders and insurers coming forward for this.

I agree with your comments Barny.

As such, I think that it would be a good option for affordable housing. From an investor's point of view, it is probably not that attractive. Although I could see it being an interesting eco-tourism project; staying in a straw constructed village for example.

It would be great if housing associations and councils backed and utilised this green option.

saw it on Grand designs. Cheap, warm and eco friendly. If you have cash funds ready - good option
