BLT - where?

One of my family are looking to invest in a long term BLT investment - primarily for capital growth opportunity - he has around £250K - where in the country would you suggest he buys and what ( i have some ideas but am interested to see what the property forum community think!!)

I think the further south your move from the top of England the more the balance switches from rental income towards capital growth. Personally I would be selective in London although there must be some good opportunies in the South East. What type of property are you looking for?

Im not sure yet - just getting ideas and looking at options - i don't think London will be an option - but will be looking for options elsewhere - probably in the SE
