Taking on the role of a landlord is for many people a long-term "career" therefore you need to know exactly what you're letting yourself in for. If you do your research it is fairly simple to become a landlord but you need to understand that you will encounter difficult tenants at some point. It is how you handle these situations and the details in your lease agreement which will dictate how it turns out.
