50y old Flat in UK

The flat I am thinking of buying is in a block that might be 50y old.

Is this considered old.

If so, how should this reflect in the price. In other words could I offer less than is advertised?

What precautions should I take regarding the purchase of a 50y old flat?

Thanks

Is there a real issue with a property which is 50 years old? I would have thought that as long as the survey shows no problems then it should be a straight forward purchase? I dont think a 50 year old property is particularly old?

Thank you for the response.

That is what I was hoping to read.

Best wishes.

Sometimes an aged property has more appeal than a new one - character, etc. All of your focus should be on the survey which will show up any flaws or issues which need addressed.
