Hello everyone, I am wondering if anyone invested in Romania lately. I was watching this market a few years ago and didn't buy anything, mostly because seemed uninteresting. But now, I see that the prices almost went double and many cities are rising as investing hubs, like Cluj and Oradea...

Are you kidding me? No way! Bucharest is in full expansion and the other cities too. There are zero chances for the prices to go down :)

Never :)) I am watching Romanian market 4 years now and I did the stupid thing not to buy then, based on rumors "the market will go down" bla bla bla! Now, an apartment that 4 years a go was 50K is 100k and going up! I am talking about cities, not countryside!

I agree. Tenants are humans too, you can be lucky to have good ones...or not. For me is important to pay on time and not destroy my house. As long as you do this...you are my best friend! And as best friends do, sometimes they need help too :) As I told above, is a delicate situation :)

Well, I am not sure yet. I mostly act on my instinct :) For some reason, I have an eye for good investment. Regarding Malta I am not sure yet if I want something for investment...or something for me :P

I don't know anything about this. But I am watching Greek market for some time now and even if they reduce the golden visas...what they will do with AIRBNB. In the center of Athens people are not selling or renting anymore, they all transformed the homes in airbnb locations creating a huge gap...

I agree with Greece, but because of AIRBNB the prices went insane. Also, they created a good golden visa programme so Chinese and Arabs are buying like crazy!

I think is business wise to keep an eye on the surrounding countries and catch opportunities, if the case. Take the example of Greece, after 10 years of economic crisis, many European got themselves very expensive properties for pennies. Greeks sold for nothing and many emigrated. In this moment...

Greece and Romania :) I think that in Romania you can still buy at decent prices.

How about Cordoba or Seville?

I think you should take under consideration areas as Antalya, Cappadocia and maybe Istanbul (if they don't throw any more bombs). I mean areas where there is tourism and people have a reason to spend their time there. I am not sure, though, how the rental prices are. Since all the issues Turkey...
